NORTH SHORE OAHU

The North Shore is where the big waves live. Known as 'Jaws' or the 'Banzai Pipeline', these monster waves roll in during the winter, and the worlds greatest surfers flock in. Whale watching is also at its peak at this time. Expect more rain here, about twice as much as Honolulu. If you love watersports, if you love surfing, snorkeling, sailing, scuba, or any other fun where getting wet is mandatory, North Shore is for you. Prices are reasonable, but if you are coming in winter, make your reservations well in advance.
