SOUTH HAWAII

South Hawaii
South Hawaii is also called the Kau desert, a misnomer that only applies to the extreme south tip of the island. This is a wonderful area to both live and visit, with a powerful spirit of aloha amongst the people. There are no hotels here, but the B&Bs are world class. It does rain here, but briefly. This is the end of the world, and is a very special place. Be prepared to slow down.
